Placido Polanco Out of Game 1

6 10 2010

Sheeeiiit (Bunk from The Wire voice) Polanco’s back was bothering him last Sunday against the Braves.  He thought he would be able to get past it, but woke up this morning and it had tightened up on him.  He is receiving treatment on his back and GM Reuben Amaro Jr. is hoping that “Polly” will be able to play on Friday.  Jimmy Rollins at 90% will start and lead-off with Shane Victorino batting in the two hole.  Wilson Valdez will fill in for Polanco at third and bat eighth.  It doesn’t really matter with Doc Hallday on the mound.  Not worried, just hoping he’ll be back for game 3.
